Central Park Zoo
The Central Park Zoo was among urban zoos that switched to habitats reflecting the origins from drab enclosures.

Today, you can see Amazon and Arctic habitat animals such as polar bears and penguin in the Central Park Zoo. There is children’s zoo that allows kids to go close to animals in a comfortable setting.
Queens Zoo
Queens Zoo is also one of the popular zoos in the New York City that has been renovated. This zoo has various habitats such as the Great Plains and the California Coast showcasing America’s loved animals from Bald Eagle to Elk and Bison.
This is the only zoo here containing endangered spectacled Andes bear.
Prospect Park Zoo
This Zoo is located towards the east side of Prospect Park. The Prospect Park Zoo became official in 1935, though it was instituted in 1890. Today, this zoo has more than 140 different species of animals and is actively engaged in restoration of habitats.
The main aim of this zoo is conservation and education. Owing to this many educational programs are conducted, besides there is a Wildlife Theater.
The Bronx Zoo
The motto of the New York City zoo, the Bronx Zoo is Saving Wildlife and Wild Places. Tourists coming here can view leopards, polar bears, great apes and lemurs in this zoo and this zoo is easily accessible by mass transit or car. Moreover, Bronx Zoo facilitates all abilities persons.
This zoo has won many awards and strives hard to teach old and young about nature, wildlife and its habitats through interactive programs. This zoo covers 250 acres and promotes zoology.
Bronx Zoo has a Bengali Express Monorail and zoo shuttle service to assist visitors in going around the zoo that has more than 6000 animals.
This zoo is a smoke free environment and visually impaired or hearing impaired guests are allowed to bring with them well harnessed guide animals. There are food stands and cafeterias throughout the zoo.
